Headquartered in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, AirAsia is an international group that runs a wide network of low-cost airlines, including AirAsia Philippines, AirAsia India, AirAsia Thai and AirAsia Indonesia. The group maintains substantial control over its franchisee ownerships across Asia, although its main office is located in Kuala Lumpur. It employs budgeted strategies and only a single fleet of aircraft used by all member airlines. There are other long-haul carriers, too, under the AirAsia X Group.
